Mission BBQ / Website & Digital/Print Marketing

Mission BBQ is a Maryland-based BBQ restaurant chain focused on giving back to local organizations.

The company had an existing logo but was looking to develop all other aspects of the brand including marketing, a website, and in-restaurant collateral. The project scaled as the company expanded—from 1 location to over 70 during my time with the team.

I worked as Assistant Art Director, playing a large role in conceptualizing designs, as well as production, under the oversight of the Chief Creative Officer. Projects included website design, email campaigns, social media marketing, and print collateral (including signage and menus).

Mission BBQ is an all-American brand and we emphasized the Americana and patriotism. The restaurant interiors featured rustic materials and walls covered in patches. We embraced that direction and developed a grungy, yet homey, collection of designs. Texture played a large role in the branding.
