Corky Carroll's is a surf school with locations in California and Costa Rica, founded in partnership with the famed surfer of the same name.
The client had an existing website design but it had been tweaked and adjusted so frequently over the years that it looked disjointed. They wanted to start with a clean slate and create a cohesive website.
As the sole designer on the project, I worked closely with the client and played a part in the entire design process—including wireframing the layout, fine-tuning design elements, and web development.
I surveyed the client’s existing content and experiences in order to evaluate what was (and wasn’t) working for them as well as what their needs were. I used this to create the structure of the website and create a simple design they can update on their own with each season.
